What this is

You bring the program. We hold the space.

A hosted retreat rental at Alma Atitlan means exclusive use of the venue for your group. Two yoga shalas, private and shared accommodation for up to 30 guests, a fully equipped kitchen, the river gardens, the temazcal, and the fire circle — all yours for the duration of your retreat.
“Noise, tears, and laughter are all welcome here. You won’t need to explain the importance of safe space — we understand the work.”
We do not run your retreat. We make sure the environment is exactly what it needs to be for you to run it well. That means clean rooms, nourishing food, reliable logistics, and a team that has been in enough transformational spaces to know when to be present and when to stay out of the way.

Dormitory

Run your own 5 to 14-day yoga retreat with full shala access, props, and a community that already understands the practice.

Wellness Facilitators

Breathwork, somatic work, plant medicine integration, sound healing — the space is designed to hold all of it.

Coaches & Therapists

Small group intensives, mastermind retreats, leadership programs. The lake and the land create the conditions for real change.

Corporate Groups

Offsites, team retreats, leadership programs. Coming here resets something. Teams leave different.

Teacher Trainings

200hr and 300hr TTCs welcome. The venue has hosted multiple trainings and the shala is purpose-built for it.

"The Dharma Hall is one of the most extraordinary practice spaces I have ever taught in. Floor-to-ceiling windows, the lake, the volcanoes, the sound of the river beneath you. Your students will never forget it."

How it works

Simple to book

01

Write to us with your vision

Tell us your dates, group size, the kind of retreat you run, and what you need from the venue. The more context you give us, the better we can assess fit and prepare an accurate quote.

02

We have a conversation

We arrange a short call to understand your program and answer your questions about the space, logistics, food, and support. We want to make sure this is genuinely the right venue for your retreat — and that your retreat is the right fit for this space.

03

We send a proposal

A clear, itemized proposal covering venue rental, accommodation, catering, and any additional services. No hidden costs. You review, ask questions, and we adjust until it is right.

04

Secure your dates

A 25% non-refundable deposit secures your dates. 50% of the remaining balance is due 60 days before arrival. Full payment is due 30 days before arrival. Final headcount and dietary requirements due two weeks prior. We then work together on all logistics — meal planning, room allocation, arrivals, and anything your retreat requires.

Why Alma Atitlan

What makes this venue different

Most retreat venues rent you a beautiful space and step back. We understand transformation — because this center was built by practitioners, for practitioners. That changes how we hold the space, how we feed your group, and how we support you as a facilitator.

Boat-access only

Tzununa is accessible by boat from Panajachel (15 min) or by road around the top of the lake. Your group arrives and the outside world genuinely disappears. No drive-bys, no noise, no distractions.

Purpose-built shalas

Not a converted barn or a hotel conference room. The Dharma Hall was built for yoga — the proportions, the light, the floor, the views. Your students will feel the difference.

Full catering available

Our kitchen team can handle everything from simple communal meals to elaborate ceremonial feasts. Vegetarian, locally sourced, freshly prepared. Dietary needs accommodated.

Temazcal on-site

Traditional Maya sweat lodge for ceremony and purification. A powerful addition to any healing or wellness retreat. Available for groups.

One of the most powerful lakes on earth

Lake Atitlan at 1,560m elevation, surrounded by three volcanoes, held by indigenous Maya culture. The setting is not incidental — it is part of the retreat. And 90% of our staff are from the local Maya community of Tzununa. When you book here, you are giving back to the place that makes this possible.

Tell us about your retreat

Share your dates, group size, and what you are planning. We will respond within 24 hours.
